Mentor Application & Information
Mentorship is an important component to our students learning. We share our gratitude towards you for your willingness to embark on this adventure together.
Before applying, please be sure you meet the following:
~ Hold a massage license, exceptions for WY, MN, VT, & KS
~ Have been practicing for 3+ years as an LMT
~ Fully committed to the time and energy of mentoring with the student, and staying up to date on required communication & documentation set forth by Grounded Touch Online Massage Therapy School.
Once student is enrolled, we'll be in touch with you.
Mentors begin working with their student after the student has attended thier first live intensive. Student may not begin any hands on hours priort to attending their first live intensive.
Mentors will spend 138 hours working with their student over the course of students enrollment. Students have two full years to complete the program.
Student & Mentor will schedule their agreed upon meeting times, and discuss cancellation & now show policies.
Student pays mentor directly. Grounded Touch Online Massage Therapy School has a student-mentor contract that may be used, or one can be created on your own.
Hours of mentorship will be in the following subjects:
~ 20 hours of The Art of Massage II
~ 20 hours of The Art of Massage III
~ 15 hours The Art of Massage IV
~ 10 hours of Integration
~ 21 hours of Assessment, Treatment Planning & Documentation
~ 52 hours of Student Clinic
* Student Clinic & Assessment, Treatment Planning & Documentation hours are encouraged to be barter based, as LMT can charge a discounted fee to clients of the public for student massages.
Students will be given a Mentorship Logbook upon completion of their first live intenisive. The logbook outlines all mentorship hours, along with suggestions on areas of focus. The logbook must be filled out and signed by student and mentor after each meeting time.
